Leaf color attributes of urban colored-leaf plants

چکیده

Abstract Plant color was an important landscape of the urban green space, and quantitative analysis its characteristics could provide a basis for plant configuration. The leaf attributes 80 colored-leaf plants were studied Scenic Beauty Estimates (SBE) used to evaluate their beauty. data leaves obtained by MATLAB software scanner under hue–saturation–brightness (HSB) system then further analyzed determine relationship between SBE (HSB). Results showed that colors contained 13 hues in total, which belonged six systems. species different systems, from most least, yellow–green series (27 species) > orange (19 red (18 yellow (10 blue-green (four purple (two species). There fewer blue species. brightness saturation mainly distributed middle (26–50%), high (51–75%) stages, those medium stages significantly higher than other is significant positive correlation value SBE, evaluation model established based on attributes. results are helpful select with beauty create rich landscape.

Convex recoloring of leaf-colored trees

A coloring of the leaves of a tree T is called convex, if it is possible to give each internal node a color, such that for each color, the set of nodes with that color forms a subtree of T . Motivated by a problem from phylogenetic reconstruction, we study the problem, when given a tree with a coloring of its leaves, to recolor as few as possible leaves to obtain a convex coloring. We present f...

Leaf morphogenesis in flowering plants.

Leaves, or organs derived from leaves, are the most morphologically diverse structures in a plant (Gifford and Foster, 1989). They occur as prominent photosynthetic structures; as inconspicuous fragments of tissue in tubers, rhizomes, and the stems of many cacti; as nonphotosynthetic storage organs in bulbs; and, in carnivorous plants, as complex structures specialized for catching and digestin...

Convergence in leaf size versus twig leaf area scaling: do plants optimize leaf area partitioning?

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Corner's rule states that thicker twigs bear larger leaves. The exact nature of this relationship and why it should occur has been the subject of numerous studies. It is obvious that thicker twigs should support greater total leaf area ([Formula: see text]) for hydraulical and mechanical reasons. But it is not obvious why mean leaf size ([Formula: see text]) should scale pos...
